Welcome to Gwenelin. Cosy and comfortable 1890’s Grade II listed cottage, set within two beautiful courtyards that form the quintessential Cotswold cottages of Ashwin Court. The cottage has modern kitchen and bathroom but has maintained its charm with many traditional features, making you feel relaxed as soon as you walk through the door. Located in the historic village of Bretforton, on the edge of the North Cotswolds, home to the award winning National Trust owned The Fleece Inn
Gwenelin Cottage is a midterraced Cotswold stone cottage situated within beautiful twin courtyards. The cottage entrance opens into a modernised but traditional feel open plan kitchen and living space, with original flagstone floor throughout. Enjoy a coffee at the kitchen table or snuggle into the sofa in the lounge area. Perhaps get cosy reading a book or two in the reading nook which awaits you next to the original inglenook fireplace.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and includes a dishwasher, wine cooler, tassimo coffee machine and dining table with seating for two. Settle in for the night and light the fire in the cosy lounge area comprising of 3 seater sofa and coffee table.
WIFI, flat screen SMART TV with free Netflix, DAB radio with Bluetooth to play your own music. Games and books are available for your use in the book and games cupboard on the staircase.
Winding wooden stairs with rope rail, lead up from the lounge area to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms:
Master bedroom: a large, light and airy bedroom, with built-in wardrobe, dressing table and chair. A king size bed with Harrison Spinks mattress, set of bedside drawers.
Bathroom: a traditional white bathroom suite with a shower over the bath.
The property benefits from an allocated parking space within the car park to the rear of the courtyards, in addition to separate overflow parking spaces. Beyond the car park are landscaped communal gardens, with benches inviting alfresco dining. Additionally there is a picnic bench to the rear of the cottage itself and a further bench for Ashwin Court Cottage guests only.
All towels, linen, hand soaps, hand sanitiser, salt & pepper are included.
