The “Monte” (name given to estates in Alentejo), with 400 hectares, is located in the heart of Alentejo. The magnificent and vast plains overlooking the horizon, offer a unique landscape, dotted with old cork oaks, holm oaks and olive trees, exuberant cows (Limousine breed), horses, sheep’s, and herons flying over the dams of crystal clear water.
Alentejo is a region in the south of Portugal, with beautiful and historic villages, with a rural environment, breathtaking wild beaches, a fantastic regional cuisine, and great wines. This unique and calm region will seduce both beach and country lovers.
“Monte da Boavista” is located in Aljustrel, 10 minutes from the A2 motorway exit, just 90 minutes from Lisbon and the Lisbon airport, and 60 minutes from Faro airport in Algarve. The beaches of Costa Alentejana, such as the beaches of “Comporta”, “Melides”, and “Porto Covo”, are about a 50 minutes drive away. Alternatively, the beaches of the Algarve Coast in the Albufeira area are located around 45 minutes driving distance.
The rich heritage and history of the region cannot be forgotten, which is why we recommend a visit, in addition to Aljustrel, to the cities of Beja and Évora (World Heritage by UNESCO).

The property can accommodate groups of up to 20 people, in 9 spacious and very comfortable bedrooms. Monte da Boavista is made up of a group of buildings from the end of the 19th century, all of which have been restored, preserving the traditional Alentejo architecture, providing large areas of great comfort, and a warm and cozy environment.
It offers air conditioning and Wi-Fi throughout the house, and different accommodation options in 2 different buildings. The main building is made up of several living rooms, all with beautiful fireplaces, decorated in a modern, elegant and comfortable style, with large windows overlooking the stunning views that surround the house. In this building there are also dining areas (indoor and on the outdoor terrace), the common toilet, fully equipped kitchen with smeg appliances, a large and luxurious master suite of about 100 square meters including an office, an area of closets, private bathroom, and bedroom.
In the adjoining building are located the remaining 8 bedrooms divided into 4 independent areas with a large shed, hosting a leisure and lounging area and access to the pool.
Area A: 4 bedrooms, with areas between 30 and 60 square meters, all with private bathrooms, with walking showers.
Area B: suite measuring around 40 square meters with a bathroom containing a walking shower.
Area C: Living room with 1 double bedroom + 1 bedroom with a bunk bed, with a total area of 150 square meters. The bathroom includes a walking shower, and a bathtub.
Area D: suite measuring around 40 square meters with a bathroom containing a walking shower.
All bedrooms include closets, bed linen, towels and air conditioner.
Keep in mind, that the access road is a 3 km rough track. Hiring a car is therefore highly recommended, to get to the property and to explore the region and beautiful beaches within 1 hour range. Otherwise, we can arrange a transfer from the airport. Furthermore, electricity consumption above 15€ per day will be charged.
