The property is in the quiet hamlet of Olivebridge, which is secluded and surrounded by nature. The town is located near to the Ashokan Reservoir as well as the towns of High Falls and Stone Ridge. You are also nearby to destinations including:
- Woodstock: 25 minutes away
- Kingston: 30 minutes away
- New Paltz: 30 minutes away
- Hunter Mountain: 45 minutes away
Getting Around:
The property is located off the road on a long gravel driveway. The property is located in the country and a car with all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive is highly recommended during the winter. Our 300 yard driveway is plowed regularly but having the extra tread around the Catskills is always best during a snow and the house is up a very long road with a steep incline (read: at the top of a mountain).
Other Things to Note:
We just updated our water pressure and filtration system so pressure and hot water are great! The property boasts an open concept layout that is perfect for entertaining with friends and family:
KITCHEN/DINING ROOM
The kitchen features open shelving as well as butcher block counter tops. There is a gas stove, farm sink and dishwasher available. The house is regularly stocked with pantry basics such as salt, pepper, olive oil, sugar and coffee. There is a small breakfast bar as well as a long farm table for family feasts, romantic dinners or any special occasion.
There is a screened in porch
located just off the dining area that is ideal for dining al fresco. (Note: the porch is not heated so it is best enjoyed during Spring, Summer and early Fall.)
INDOOR LIVING SPACE
The living room features high ceilings and includes a wood burning stove and some complimentary wood is provided. You may purchase additional wood at any local gas station. Feel free to download fire instructions if you do not know how to make a fire. We have axe for cutting wood and you can make kindling to start your fire. We are not responsible if you are unable to start or make your fire however we would be happy to offer tips. There is a TV, radio and record player as well as board games and books for your enjoyment.
This main floor also includes one bedroom and one full bathroom. The 2nd floor includes three bedrooms and one full bathroom.

OUTDOOR LIVING SPACE
The property is situated on 12, quiet, wooded acres atop Mount Mombaccus. You will have access to the 700,000 acres of beautiful adjacent state park lands. The outdoor area is perfect for roasting s’mores by the outdoor firepit, soaking in the hot tub while taking in the starry skies, reading Proust by the pond or just listening to the sounds of wildlife all around.
The back deck features an outdoor dining area, BBQ grill and lounge area as well as the hot tub.
The property is available for booking small outdoor weddings of 80 people or less. Please inquire for pricing and details.
Pet Policy: We are dog friendly! We do allow dogs (no cats or other animals, sorry) with approval only; 1 per reservation. We ask that you take responsibility for your dog and pick up after them in the yard and keep them off furniture (beds included). The property is located in the country and your dog may come in contact with ticks (depending on the season). We advise that you treat them with a flea and tick medication prior to arrival and brush/check them after any outdoor excursion. Note: the property is not fenced in.
Local Wildlife: There are bear, coyote, deer, owls, bobcats, ticks, snakes and much other wildlife around so be prepared when hiking and in the yard. As we live in the country you should expect some small guests (ladybugs or stink bugs) that make their way in, they are totally harmless and usually die within a couple of days. We try our best to clean them up before your stay but at times there are a few dead ones left behind after a cleaning (sneaky) Ah country living!
NOTE: Cell Service: Cell service is spotty, you can normally get texts but calls are better made on the land line. iPhone users can use WIFI calling.
