The Space:
As you arrive, you'll immediately feel as though you've stepped into the set of a country magazine photoshoot, with all the charms you would expect to find in a country cottage.
This delightful ambiance continues as you pass through the front door and begin to explore the tastefully decorated cottage. To your left, you'll discover the invitingly comfy lounge room, complete with a smart TV, perfect for snuggling up on the couch or delving into the beautifully curated selection of children’s toys with your little one.
Moving down the hallway, you'll find three stunning bedrooms, each boasting a queen-size bed, ample storage space and their own unique designs and touches. On your right, you'll find the elegant green room, complete with a toasty fireplace. Right next door is the charmingly pink bedroom, featuring its own ensuite and desk. Across the hallway, you'll find the beautiful blue room, equipped with a cot, making it ideal for young families.
The hallway opens up into the kitchen and dining room, outfitted with Smeg appliances and a range of dinnerware, essentials and accessories to keep everyone entertained. Leading off from this space is a separate toilet, bathroom and Euro laundry, equipped with a combined washing machine and dryer for added convenience.
While the interior of the cottage is a dream, your attention will undoubtedly be captured by the delightful courtyard. Whether you choose to relax under the shade with a refreshing drink in hand or indulge in a platter with friends on the deck, the only decision you'll have to make is how to enjoy it best! The Neighborhood:
Neighbouring the Launceston CBD, the suburb of Invermay is a lovely part of Launceston. Built on the mud flats, before the flood levy was built, Invermay was prone to flooding. Many homes still bear the scars of the floodwaters to this day in stained floorboards and plaster. A suburb traditionally known as an industrial suburb, Invermay now enjoys a new and funky lease on life. Although there is still some commerce peppered throughout the suburb, the gorgeous weatherboard cottages are now sought after and are lovingly being restored back to their former glory!
There are numerous eateries, bars and takeaways nearby, as well as a Kmart, a Coles supermarket, newsagency, chemist, bakery and liquor outlet! Nearby restaurants and eateries of note are Me Wah Chinese restaurant and Café Blue. The Seaport precinct is also within a short stroll showcasing some of Launceston’s most beloved restaurants, cafes and bars. For the kids, the Riverbend park is an absolute must see with architecturally designed play areas catering to all ages.
Invermay is not only home to the University of Tasmania, but also the UTAS AFL Stadium. The QVMAG Museum is located right next to the stadium. You will also find the Star theatre close by for a cosy, old style cinema experience with tasty treats, grazing options and wine on the menu.
The Launceston CBD only being a short stroll away, enabling you to access many delicious cafés and restaurants, an array of shops and boutiques, a vast range of cocktail bars and pubs and many amenities and recreational spaces. An additional, unique way to experience this attraction is via the Tamar Cruise vessel, which cruises through the waters that carve between the rocky formations. Other Things to Note:
The house is conveniently situated on a main street. Due to this, there may be some traffic noise at times. Additionally, this road is one-way, so you will have one chance to pull into the parking space on the left, otherwise you will need to drive around the block and re-attempt.
Alternatively there is free all day parking on the streets behind, which are just a one minute walk to the front gate.
