When booking a site, you're actually booking for a "glamping" experience through the platform, you agree that as a guest you are visiting a private property, your donation is appreciated, and I hope to provide you with a great experience. This is a guest/host relationship, it is not a business/customer relationship that is typical of commercial venues, as this is not a business or a licensed activity; it is equivalent to a private barbecue or gathering of friends, which makes it even more special. Your Booking includes a $1 private lifetime membership agreement to Camp BigFun. You agree on arrival to a verbal agreement and membership to a recreational "easement" agreement that starts on arrival and ends at departure time on the last day of the visit. This keeps the legal eagles happy in establishing operating in private and not publicly. By booking through a third party you will also agree that $1 of your fee gives you a lifetime membership agreement to this unincorporated association.
WITH YOUR BOOKING YOU WILL ALSO GET: complimentary beer/wine (we CANNOT sell you alcohol), a bundle of firewood, 2 dogs covered. Host is available onsite and can be found around the property or running the bar/grill, campstore, etc. If you need anything please look for a "staff" shirt, Eric or Heather can be found around the property to help with whatever you need. If you do not see someone around to help you out please message us on the app.
The cabin is ran on solar power, we ask that you do not bring any electrical as it takes power away from the rest of the property. Do not bring heaters or other electrical appliances (phone chargers are permitted).
The cabin is secondary to the experience of Glamping in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This cabin LACKS SECLUSION AND PRIVACY that the other cabins offer, but it makes up for it with a larger area to relax in, and your 5 steps to the lake shore, and it even has its own fishing pier. The cabin has a small kitchen area, all the main appliances to make a meal, and a fridge to hold your food. Kcup machine located at the bar Cabin does not have a heater, electric blanket provided for colder months so bring extra clothes or blankets. Charcoal grills provided as well as an outdoor shower and WIFI. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to gather around. A supply of board games and a flat screen for when night falls....Glamping at its finest, warm, dry, and safe.....soooo beats a tent lol.
We currently have 7 tiny cabins, 2 tiny campers, and several unique tent camping areas. You will have access to all 13 acres, the streams, lake, lake toys, trails, forest areas, dog kennel, decks, fire pits, outdoor games, fishing (bring your own gear, we ONLY sell worms and do not provide any gear) The pavilion is complete with hot tub/music/flat screen tv/bar n grill/games. The pavilion is enclosed for colder months (oct-apr) and not enclosed for summer months (may-sept).
Things to do out here: Swim, Fishing (both trout in the streams and bass, bluegill, and catfish in the lake), boating, kayaking, play raft with a rock wall, rope swing, and slide, hiking, yard games like Cornhole, badminton, etc, Hot tub action, sunbathing on the deck chairs, play with your dogs, BBQ on the grills, smores on the fire pit. Swing in a hammock (bring your own) and read a book. We do have Wifi , but my hope is you don’t need that lol.
Things to do around here: Parks, lazy river tubing, kayaking the new river, whitewater rafting, horse back riding, hiking waterfalls or mountain peaks, ziplines, Virginia creeper trail (downhill bike cruising), tweetsie railroad, breweries and wineries, Blue ridge parkway, and much much more. YOU are responsible for doing a full sweep of the cabin and common areas for your belongings when you are checking out, anything left in the cabin or on the property will be put into lost&found for 12 months until you come back for the items. Exception will be made for certain items left behind.
