Set in Alaró, this romantic style cottage with private pool is in the midst of the Tramuntana Mountains and is perfect for 3 to 4 guests.
This charming cottage with bags of character features a delightful gravel garden with an elevated, 6m x 3.30m chlorine pool with a depth of 1.55m. Afternoons can be spend reading a good book in the hammock or the garden swing or basking in the sun on one of the four sun loungers. The porch is great for al-fresco dining. Next to the pool, a barbecue is perfect for cooking outside. This small and home-like house is located in a peaceful zone in the outskirts of the village, it's fenced and has no direct neighbours. The interiors are designed with a rustic and charming style, which is typical for Mallorca. The friendly sitting-dining room with A/C and a big fireplace is open to the fully-equipped kitchen with gas stove. There's a laundry with washer, iron and ironing board. A single sofa-bed can be prepared in the sitting room for a fourth person. The master bedroom on the ground floor with double bed, wardrobe and fan will make you feel like home. A wooden ladder gives access to the second bedroom with one single bed. Please keep in mind that the bedrooms have no total privacy. A bathroom offers a bath tub. Two electric radiators and fan heaters are provided for your visit during the low season. A cot and a high chair can be supplied on request. The quiet and enchanting town Alaró is one of the prettiest mountain villages in Mallorca. This is a truly paradise for hikers, walkers and cyclists and marked routes pass through the mountains. A nice trail leads you to Alaro's Castle where to enjoy amazing panoramic views. Another trail, towards Orient, goes to the Salt D'Es Freu waterfalls. Regarding the beaches, it's up to you whether you prefer the gravel bays of the mountains (Cala Deià, Port de Valldemossa) or the sand beaches of the south (Playa de Plama, Palmanova, Peguera). In Alaró you'll find everything you may need for a self-catering holiday. Note: We cannot accept guests under 30 years unless they are accompanied by their parents. Surroundings
Mallorca is the largest island of the Balearic Islands, here you think of beach resorts, but there are more ways to enjoy the coast and inland, especially in autumn and winter, when the large groups of tourists are gone and the temperature is therefore more suitable for outdoor activities. You can spend a week in the Tramuntana mountain range in the west of Mallorca, walking or cycling. Or you visit a winery in the center of the island where you can try local traditional wines. Visit a farm by bike or walking, here you can learn how to make sobrasada or mallorquin pork sausages. You will find great places to eat here. The chefs of Mallorca use traditional recipes adapted to modern tastes. There are six Michelin star restaurants on the island. This famous enthusiasm for the local cuisine can also be seen in the other restaurants on Mallorca.
Even though you have been to the island several times, there is always something to discover, especially if you enter the lush inland or explore the spectacular coastline.
Normally the beach season starts in May until the end of October, but the island is also beautiful in spring when the walnut tree is in bloom. Outside the hottest months of July and August, the Balearic Islands are an ideal place for an active holiday, where you can see everything if you are interested in plants and birds, or if you want to discover the local culture.
