A true Lakeland farmhouse built in the warm-looking red stone common to this part of our region, your hospitable homestead dates from the 19th Century and has been lovingly restored to produce a first-class retreat for discerning Lakelovers. A judicious eye has informed the style here, melding original features with fresh décor and thoroughly modern comforts. A sumptuous sitting-room boasts a toasty wood-burning stove to warm your evening gatherings, and a separate 'snug' gives you cosiness and a little alone-time. You'll find plenty of water-based action there, too, and that is equally so at beautiful Ullswater, just a few minutes drive to your south, where rowboats and canoes are abundant and the gorgeous steamer boats glide between some of the finest hill scenery in the country.
