Casa Tortuga is a large desert Adobe tucked into the base of your own private mountain, located just 5-minutes to the park entrance.
This spacious, 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is filled with abundant natural light throughout, open floor plan, entertainers kitchen and garage converted into a game room with TV, foosball, board games and ping pong. Enjoy the desert landscape while sitting in the hot tub or around the fire pit.

Casa Tortuga is a a large and sprawling desert adobe tucked up against the rocks and mountains. Every detail has been carefully thought out for your stay, all you will need to do is show up and start relaxing.

All this isolation is just a five minute drive from downtown Joshua Tree and 5 minutes from the west park entrance. You really can't beat complete privacy yet still close to town, should you want to leave.

• RENTAL AGREEMENT
There will be a rental agreement sent out that will need a signature to complete the reservation
• DEPOSIT
We do not charge a security deposit. We welcome you and your guests to come to the property without an added security deposit or any extra holds of funds. You will not have to worry about any additional charges for accidental damages!
• CARS
There is a VERY STRICT maximum on cars allowed at the property. NO MORE then 4 vehicles are permitted to be at the property at any time. The county is fining $1000+ if this rule is broken and that fee does get passed along to the guests.
• A/C and HEAT
The house is cooled by a brand new central air conditioner and heating which will allow guests to be comfortable all year long.
With Central air, make sure the windows are closed to keep the cool air in the house.
• WASHER/DRYER
The house has a washer and dryer available to guests that are staying with us for an extended period of 3 or more days. If you are traveling with an infant or young children please let us know and we will give you access to the laundry room.
• GAMES
We have provided a number of indoor games and outdoor activities for kids and adults alike. Be sure to keep all the pieces and parts together where they belong so everyone can continue to enjoy them.
• FIRE
Due to the location and a current fire ban there is a strict no outside fire policy. If it is discovered that you have started an outside fire, using fireworks or other open fire means your rental agreement will be terminated and you will be asked to leave. The propane fire pit provided at this property is allowed to be used all year round.
• GUESTS
You are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in your rental agreement unless you request and receive permission from us. That includes day guests and over night guests.
• IDENTITY VERIFICATION
You will receive a text or email from Guest Ranger that will ask you to verify your identity and submit a picture of a government issued ID and a selfie. This information will be used to verify that the booking guest matches the credit card used and to help reduce any issues with identity theft. This process is mandatory to complete the booking. The data is protected in a hash-encrypted vault following data security standards including GDPR. Data-input in the vault is encrypted in a two-way function where information is scrambled using an encryption key and unscrambled later using a decryption key. On top of that, we use hashing to add an extra layer of security using a one-way function where a unique message digest is generated from an input file or a string of text. No keys are used.
By renting this property, guest acknowledges that they have read, understand and accept the terms listed above.
