Terra Rosa Haven is a charming & unique home, hand made from earth, wood & lead light glass. Sitting in lovely forest close to Denmark in the great southern region of W.A, it features 2 bathrooms & 3 bedrooms. A large living area shows high exposed wooden beams. This haven is an ode to slower living in the midst of nature, away from the hustles of the city. Set amongst 5 acres of native bush abundant in wild flowers it is a place to rest & reconnect with loved ones, slow down, breathe & enjoy.
Terra Rosa Haven is a unique, organic and natural holiday home where we make every effort to reduce our impact on the environment. There are 3 generous sized bedrooms, each with deliciously comfy queen sized beds, accommodating up to 6 guests. Each room is equipped with electric blankets during the colder months for extra warmth if needed.
The main bedroom, complete with a cosy ensuite bathroom, outlooks into established evergreen citrus trees mingling into native bush.
The second bedroom, also with a large garden outlook, is bordered with a seasonal grapevine & an English Wisteria climber.
At the end of the wide castle like hallway, a cosy sitting room includes single mattress day bed. Here, a rustic handcrafted staircase made from recycled timbers, leads up to the spacious mezzanine loft bedroom where a Juliette balcony offers a view of the surrounding garden & bush from above.
The main bathroom, situated opposite the second bedroom, features a walk in shower & an antique clawfoot bath looking into a private small courtyard garden with a view over the wall to the tree tops. Or option 2 for bathing, take a soak in the outdoor bath tub looking out to the forest or up to the southern night sky. All water for use on the property is rainwater.
In the big open spacious main living area you'll have views into the garden and the forest. Guests can enjoy gathering together around the large dining table, getting comfy on the antique club lounge sofa or warming themselves by the big cosy wood fire place. Rain or sunshine an undercover day bed on the veranda is the perfect place to sit back and plan the adventures for the day with a cup of tea or coffee.
Ancient ways of building, thick earth brick walls keep temperature fluctuations to a minimum. The walls 'breathe' so they counteract humidity & naturally maintain a stable internal temperature throughout the seasons, reducing the need for power-based heating and cooling. This naturally provides excellent protection from extremes in the Australian climate!
We are a part of the forest around us & therefore Terra Rosa Haven is a home not only for us but for many wilderness inhabitants too.
You may encounter frogs, lizards, insects, ants, bees, spiders & their webs, even small native marsupials, birds & others fauna depending on the season.

The well equipped kitchen comes with a 6 burner gas stove top & wide oven, a large fridge & a dishwasher. Also a back patio offers a spacious undercover area with a BBQ & a number of garden dining options to soak up the forest and southern night sky.
