Welcome to the Boho House Collective & our Cactus Cottage: a serene haven featuring boho chic styling & a hot tub! Nestled in a lush garden oasis with friendly chickens. This enchanting space is designed to inspire & connect guests with nature. Centrally located near the 101, 154, downtown and UCSB. We are walking distance to a nearby nature preserve & bike trails and a 10-minute drive to the launch point for Channel Islands National Park.
The chic and rustic cottage, an intimate and unique 100-square-foot standalone sanctuary that's a perfect blend of California's understated glamour and modern boho vibes. Nestled within the gardens of our charming home, featuring gardens inspired by California's unique tropical and desert landscapes, the cottage and its adjoining hot tub are part of our main residence. Outside of your private room everything else is communal and shared with us and potentially other guests. Your restroom is shared with one other guest and located inside the main residence which you will have 24/7 access too. The cottage features all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay; coffee maker, hot water kettle, full coffee and tea service, stocked mini fridge and mini bar, beach gear, desk, memory foam mattress, organic bamboo linens, Bluetooth speaker, electric fireplace, sound machine, art center, robes and beach gear. The cottage is located in the gardens of our family home and does not have an attached private bath as it shares a bathroom with one other guest. The bathroom is is located inside the main residence on the property (a short walk through the beautiful garden). We have been operating our unique "Bed & Breakfast"-style vacation rentals since 2015 out of our home and we love ensuring guests feel "right at home" during their visit. Additionally, find your own slice of serenity in the various garden nooks and patios, specially designed for moments of respite, contemplative practices, or deep meditation.
GUEST ACCESS
Once checked into your cozy cottage! Feel free to make yourself at home with 24/7 access to your private room, shared spa bathroom, and all the communal areas in the main house. For your convenience and privacy, we've set up a separate side gate entrance that leads directly to your space. This allows you to come and go as you please, without walking through the main house—perfect for those late-night strolls or early morning getaways. Just look for the gate to the left of the front door when facing the house from outside.
We love enjoying the communal yard and our magical outdoor spaces, and we invite you to do the same. Feel free to cook, socialize, or relax in the hot tub between the hours of 7 am and 11 pm. After that, we observe quiet hours to ensure everyone has a peaceful retreat. If you need some flexibility around this, please don't hesitate to reach out in advance. We're all about creating a harmonious atmosphere that suits the needs of our community.

ALL VIBES WELCOME. At the Boho House Collective, we take pride in providing a safe and welcoming space for all minority & marginalized groups.
DOGS WELCOME: We allow dogs on the property with a one-time $25 pet fee per pet. However, we do not allow pets to use the backyard or garden to run free or relieve themselves. This is to protect the farm/chickens/food & medicinal plants. But visiting pups love nature walks in the neighborhood or to the nature preserve a block away for bathroom breaks and exercise.
PARKING. Your stay also includes one (1) parking spot on the street. If you have more vehicles, please let us know ahead of time so we can accommodate.
EARLY CHECK-INS & LATE CHECK-OUTS: When possible, for a fee.
GEAR RENTALS: We also have gear available to rent for our guests who wish to travel light. Please enquire about our bikes and baby/kids gear rentals separately. We'd love to assist you!
WANT FRESH EGGS? There are 5 friendly chickens on the property who love to say “hello”! You are welcome to feed them treats (or your leftovers), they will LOVE you for it. Our 4-year-old takes care of them and offers their freshly laid eggs to our guest for a reasonable fee. All proceeds go to his "Toys & Adventures" fund.

PLEASE NOTE This accommodation is located in the garden of our main residence and does not have an attached bathroom. The bathroom is inside the main residence which you will have 24/7 access too. Outside of your private room, all spaces are shared with our family, other guests, and our pets. Our dogs, Piper and Scotch are always around the main house but will never enter your room. You will potentially be sharing a full spa bathroom with another guest. This is a family home and urban farm where we host multiple guests. My partner and I live in the home full-time with our two small children and animals. When we're home, we're usually farming, gardening, hanging with guests, jamming, or coworking. We LOVE having guests share our home with us and we're always ready to provide recommendations or chat about the local happenings, but we equally respect your privacy. Please take this social component into consideration before moving forward with your booking.
