The space
The Conker Tree at Perry is a stunning rustic farmhouse and a relaxing natural space to spend time surrounded by the beautiful nature of the Great British countryside, set just outside of the bustling historic towns of Huntingdon and St Neots. The large and tastefully decorated home is situated in a superb location, being only a 15-minute drive from the towns of Huntingdon and St Neots, a 7-minute drive to the third largest reservoir in England and only a 45-minute drive to the historic city of Cambridge.
The farmhouse itself if within walking distance to a variety of amenities including a local post office and a highly rated pub, and only a short drive to access local supermarkets, delicious restaurants for takeaway or eat-in and also an array of shops. When you stay at Conker Tree, you will also be in close proximity to Grafham Water, England’s third-largest reservoir which offers a great day out for family and friends with water sports, cycling trails, fishing and an overall immersion in nature.
Conker Tree is a fabulous expansive private space, suitable for a memorable retreat with family or friends to experience what nature has to offer. The accommodation and grounds offer countryside charm, with visits from an array of wildlife including birds, cows, rabbits!
-The Kitchen-
The space features a fully fitted kitchen to create delicious home-cooked meals and high-quality amenities including a DeLonghi coffee bean machine to help you wake up during those lazy, hazy country mornings. A focal point within the farmhouse kitchen is a timepiece…a beautiful cast-iron AGA! Step back in time and cook family meals using this fantastic unique appliance, where the food is cooked evenly to perfection. However, should you require an alternative means of cooking, there are also two convectional ovens and induction hobs available!
Important to note: The Aga is constantly hot even when not in use, please take care while in the kitchen with little children.
The dining room adjacent to the open kitchen is a brilliant space to entertain family and friends. Do you have a birthday celebration planned? An anniversary? How about a Christmas getaway? Offering a space eating, entertaining and playing an array of in-house board games, the dining room is ideal for large gatherings and with its open-plan design, evenings can be spent chatting with the chefs in the kitchen whilst gazing out onto the lush garden.
The Garden
Conker Tree’s expansive garden is another fantastic feature of this accommodation. Relax beside the old oak trees on quality garden furniture. Recharge in your own private hot tub adorned with floral foliage and fairy lights – perfect for dusky evenings!
We want you to feel catered and cared for during your stay with us, and so there will be the occasional trusted member of staff from our dedicated service team on hand to upkeep and maintain the property’s grounds allowing you to fully relax without stress or worry.
The Living Room
What better way is there to relax with family and friends, than all gathered together for movie night? At Conker, we offer a phenomenal 55-inch OLED tv with Essentials Sky package, Netflix and more – perfect for catching up on missed series and recently released movies. If you fancy tickling the ivories and having a group singsong during your stay, then look no further than our vintage piano, where your guests can gather around for Christmas carols, romantic serenades or impressive sonatas.
Our living room offers two sofa beds. The main couch turns into a large sofa bed. The sofa beds are suitable for smaller guests to share or single adults. Should you require space for further guests, we offer these additional sleeping options at £20 per person, per night.
A stunning focal point in our gorgeous living room is our iron fireplace, one of two in the property. Cosy up in the colder months with loved ones in front of the glowing, crackling fire whilst sipping on some hot cocoa or a nice cup of tea.
The Bedrooms
There are five beautifully decorated bedrooms in the property all with king-size or super king-size beds, perfect for any kind of sleeping position! The downstairs bedroom has the second of our beautiful iron fireplaces and offers dual aspect with views of the adjacent field where you might be greeted by our friendly neighbouring cows! It is also suitable for guests with low mobility and those who have trouble climbing stairs.
Upstairs there are a further four bedrooms, another with dual aspect, one with an ensuite and walk-in wardrobe, and all offering beautiful farmland or garden views.
The Doggy Room/Utility Room
We love doggies and at Conker, they have their own room! On the downstairs floor we offer a utility room, fitted with a doggy door which is perfect place for your pampered pups to rest their heads after a busy day! Our utility room offers the additional ovens which can be used instead of the AGA, and also houses our washing machine and dryer. Light floods into this room through a large window, where, if opened, inquisitive cows might steal a glance!
The Bathrooms
Conker Tree offers three bathrooms, one ensuite, one main upstairs and one main downstairs. The main bathroom upstairs boasts a large shower space as well as a separate bathtub to relax and unwind within the bubbles! The main bathroom downstairs is mobility friendly with only a small step entry to the shower and therefore is ideal to service the downstairs bedroom. It is also great to use for a quick shower cool-down after a long soak in the hot tub and useful for rinsing down messy pups!
