This beautiful cottage is a quiet and convenient base right in the heart of the city but tucked away from all the bustle and busy-ness and yet within a short walk to most of the festival venues. It is the perfect place to relax and regroup in between shows.
The whole house is available for your own private use. With two bedrooms - both with private bathroom / shower room and on separate floors. Its is ideal for two couples visiting the city or a couple with two kids. It is ideal for visitors who plan to be out and about in the city but would like to have a comfy secure base to come home to. We are within walking distance of most of Edinburgh's city centre attractions but also on many bus routes.
You will have 2 double bedrooms with King size beds and professionally laundered linens and towel. One of the beds is a ‘zip and link’ which can be split to form two single beds (2 foot 6 inch width by 6 ft 3 inch long). There is a shower room and loo adjacent to the bedroom on the first floor and a bathroom (with bath and shower attachment) adjacent to the bedroom on the second floor. You will also have the cosy sitting room with windows on both sides looking out to gardens and a completely modern kitchen with everything you would need for simple cooking.
This lane is one of the best traditional mews lanes in Edinburgh. Traditionally a mews lane is where the horses and carriages were kept and the workers lived above the stables. Nowadays it is a little village in the city with a close community. The houses are traditionally small but you will be experiencing a slice of history in the centre of the city. Guests need to be mobile and able to cope with the small spiral staircase to the second floor!
