Welcome to our three-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Port Matilda, PA, less than 15 minutes from Penn State University. This cozy, bright rental is ready to accommodate up to 9 guests for a convenient Central Pennsylvania getaway.
Families and friend groups alike will appreciate having all the comforts of home in one package. Enjoy central AC and heating, fast WiFi, in-unit washer and dryer, and much more.
Upon check-in, guests will discover elegant decor and ample natural light in the living room. This main living area is the perfect place to unwind on the comfy upholstered sofas and stream your favorite show from the smart TV. You can also host a game night using our provided board games!
Once you’re ready to choose your bedroom and settle in, you won’t be disappointed. The primary bedroom is a well-equipped, cozy room to get restful sleep throughout your trip. Find a delightfully comfortable queen size bed with elegant wooden frame, armoire, spacious walk-in closet for your clothes, and a smart TV for relaxing in the evenings.
The best part? You’ll have your very own gorgeous ensuite bathroom with a glass walk-in shower, lovely tiling, and a double vanity.
Other guests can select one of the other two guest rooms. One comes with two twin beds, and the other one comes with a full-over-twin bunk bed. Kids especially are going to love the bunk room – it’ll feel like one long slumber party!
Those who aren’t in the primary suite will have total access to a full guest bathroom, which comes with a shower-tub combo and vanity.
You probably worked up an appetite after all that unpacking, but no need to worry! We’ve appointed the house with a sleek modern kitchen, fully stocked with all the utensils and cookware you’d ever need to make 5-star meals.
Utilize the stainless steel appliances and spacious kitchen island to meal prep while your coffee brews. When it’s time to eat, gather around the breakfast bar or four-person dining table in the sunny dining room to enjoy delicious food and great conversation.
The great thing about our family home is you’ll never be trapped in tight quarters or cooped up indoors. We’ve got a spacious, grassy yard to take advantage of. Let the kids run free and play with our lawn games while you cook up something tasty on the BBQ grill.
When the sun sets and the stars come out, gather around the outdoor fire pit to enjoy drinks and marshmallow roasting. Talk about a peaceful, comforting stay here in Port Matilda!
Other Things to Note
There is a two-car garage at the home for guest use. The driveway can accommodate an additional two cars. (4 cars total)
Smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detector, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit are all installed in the home.
This is a pet-friendly home, with a $25 per pet, per day fee.

If you and your group love nature, you’ll be right near Black Moshannon State Park. This spot offers a plethora of hiking trails, fishing spots, and boating opportunities. Don’t miss the picturesque Black Moshannon Lake while you’re here. It’s a fun spot to enjoy kayaking, canoeing, and relaxing on the sandy beach during the warmer months.
If you want even more epic outdoor activities, head to Rothrock State Forest for an extensive trail system of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The diverse landscapes are a wonder to explore, from the rugged ridges to lush woodlands and beautiful streams.
Just a day trip away are some unique, charming towns and historic sites to experience. Nearby Bellefonte boasts beautifully preserved Victorian-era architecture and cute local shops. And check out the Pennsylvania Military Museum in Boalsburg if you’re interested in Pennsylvania and military history.
Most notably, State College is just a quick drive away, the home of Pennsylvania State University. You might fall in love with this vibrant college town and its plethora of exciting sporting events, interesting museums, and tasty local eateries like Plaza Mexican Bar and Juana’s.
