The Hide is set in the most enchanting location! Soak up the gorgeous sound of birdsong or tree bathe on the amazing decking! Spend evenings relaxing in the hot tub, gaze at stars or enjoy cooking overlooking the lake. Immerse youself in the magic of nature on our private wildlife reserve & drink in the peace you'll find at this unique sanctuary. Nestling among the tree & truly off the beaten track this beautiful & welcoming home is the place to soothe your soul & escape the hurly-burly of life.
The Hide has been a labour of love for us and we are so pleased to share this amazing place with guests - it's now our favourite and walking out onto the treetop decking is just magical! Finished in June 2024, this gorgeous retreat is thoughtfully furnished to create a warm and cosy home for your stay. There's a well equipped kitchen, a serene & spacious bedroom and a bathroom with walk in shower. We have aimed to create an open plan space which welcomes the beauty of nature indoors.
The generous decking gives you a feeling of being in the treetops and overlooks one of the lakes on our unique wildlife reserve, which serves as your garden. The Canadian Spa Grand Rapids hot tub is totally secluded with views of the foxgloves, wildlife and the amazing night skies.
As we are passionate about promoting biodiversity our landscaping is done by Mother Nature so there are no manicured lawns or artful hedges in sight. Parts of the reserve are left wild - this creates a haven for wildlife and for you. Guests are encouraged to explore the four lakes (not suitable for swimming) which are set over six acres and can hope to spot lots of native wildlife including endangered species such as water vole as well as deer and kingfishers. Here at Bellbrook we are committed to regenerative holidays and as such a stay here helps the conservation of our rare and native species; we also plant a tree for each guest that stays.
We are surrounded by beautiful countryside and very little else so a car is essential to access any shops, cafes, walks etc. Please see our Guidebook for more info.
The Hide is perfectly suited to guests with an adventurous spirit and a love of nature. You'll need to want splendid isolation and not mind winding country lanes where you can often spot a deer or hare.
As our lovely cabin is truly in the trees there is no vehicular access to The Hide. Guests will need to park in the farm's car park and walk the very pretty 150m or so to The Hide. If you have lots of luggage we can take it on our quad bike for you (arrivals before 6pm only)
Bellbrook is also home to a gorgeous carp fishing lake which is for just 6 fishermen and is 10 minutes walk from The Hide. Tickets from £10.
