Located in the quiet village of Marske-by-the-Sea, Coast Farm Cottage is a beautiful holiday home with plenty of charm. Sleeping up to four guests, it’s the perfect peaceful retreat for couples, families and small groups of friends. One of the oldest properties in Marske, this cosy former farmhouse is just a few minutes' walk from the beach and is ideally placed to explore picturesque towns, villages and moorland.
The Space:
Coast Farm Cottage has a bright and spacious living room. The perfect spot to unwind with your loved ones, you can cosy up on one of the sofas in front of the log burner, and turn on the flat screen TV to watch your favourite shows.
Both stylish and practical, the kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and cookware so you can prepare meals easily.
The dining room, between the living room and kitchen, includes a wooden table and four chairs. Exposed beams add plenty of character to the space. This area could also be used as a workspace.
The cottage has two comfortable bedrooms. Located on the first floor, both bedrooms feature plush bedding and premium bed linens to ensure you have a great night's sleep. In the master bedroom you’ll find a double bed, while the second is a twin. There is ample storage space for your belongings with wardrobes and drawers.
Head to the family bathroom and you’ll find a clean, modern space with a bath, separate shower, WC and basin.
Coast Farm Cottage boasts a fully enclosed back garden comprising of a lawn and paved patio area. With outdoor seating and table, the garden is an added bonus that is ideal for morning coffees, evening tipples and al fresco dining.

Private on-site parking is available for 2 to 3 vehicles, depending on size.

The Neighborhood:
Marske-by-the-Sea is a delightful village located on the North Yorkshire coast, less than 5 minutes' drive time from Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Redcar. The village square is packed with independent businesses, including dog-friendly cafes, pubs, micropubs and restaurants.
Coast Farm Cottage is just moments from Marske Valley Gardens, leading to the beach, where you can explore the walkways lined with beautiful flowers. Marske Sands is just a few minutes' walk away, and here you’ll find a long stretch of gently sloping sandy beach. The famous Cleveland Way snakes its way across the cliff tops and along the beach to Saltburn and beyond.
Neighbouring Saltburn-by-the-Sea is a great place to visit during your stay. Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance.
You can also find popular villages and towns such as Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby further along the coast.
Getting Around:
Coast Farm Cottage is within walking distance of all that Marske has to offer, within 5 minutes’ drive time of Saltburn and 20 minutes to Staithes, Middlesbrough and the delightful North Yorkshire Moors.
Marske Train Station is a short walk away and has routes to Saltburn, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Marske. Hop on the Arriva X4 route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Staithes, Runswick Bay, Sandsend and Whitby.
