This stunning upscale 20 acre farmhouse in the Berkshires of Massachusetts is the perfect setting for enjoying the Hygge of life. Whether you are looking for a quiet inspiring nature escape, or a hands on getaway connecting you to nature, we offer both and everything in between. Incredible views, privacy, and unmatched solace. Completely relax, or if you want, you may garden, cut flowers in the field, pick fruit off the trees, or harvest honey in September. You can do nothing, or everything!
Fortunately, our area has a lot of lake beaches and areas of water access should you be looking for that. Our farm offers the quiet and peace away from crowded lakes, but Otis Reservoir is only 5 minutes away for quick access and fun. Returning back to the peaceful farm and away from the crowds, walking the fields or enjoying the views will bring solace and peace from the world.
Our deck is perfect for enjoying a good book, writing, yoga, or just simply watching nature pass by and listening to the leaves in the trees.
During winter, the beauty is still stunning. With multiple ski and tubing resorts within 30-40 minutes, you will have your skiing getaway adventures, then come back to the warm and cozy farm to relax. Overlooking the field of snow from the farmhouse is beautiful and inspiring, the nature is beautiful year round.
The luxury farmhouse has been curated to bring comfort and luxury to your stay with high end furniture, linen bedding, and beautiful comforts that will put your mind at ease.
On the main floor you will find a gorgeous renovated kitchen with marble countertops, viking range, and two areas to work in for baking and cooking. The main floor has a large dining area, a sitting area, a movie room, a sunroom, and a large back mudroom where the laundry is located, as well as a full bathroom on the main floor next to the kitchen. Upstairs you will find four large bedrooms-one with a king bed, two rooms have queen beds, and one room has two twin beds- and a full bathroom. Also there is a beautiful back sitting room with large old tobacco wood lining the walls which can be used as an additional bedroom if needed. A queen air mattress is provided for the 5th bedroom. There is a high chair and a port-a-crib, along with baby/kid dishes if needed, along with some family games and drawing supplies. Every single window provides unmatched beauty of nature, the orchard, the lane, the barn, the fields and the trees. Complete privacy.
We have a Vacation Concierge on hand to help with requests you may have, including having groceries delivered before your arrival, tickets or activities help, or any issues that may come up that you would need assistance with.
Guest access:
You will have access to the main floor and the second floor of the farmhouse. The attic and basement have locks on them, there is no access to those floors for guests. Also one space of the barn houses the garbage, which guests can put their garbage in. Other than that, guests are not allowed in the old barn for any reason.
Guests can walk the 20 acres and enjoy all the nature on our land. The pond that is viewable from the farm is great to look at, but not our property, and no one is allowed in the pond.
At the end of the field in the trees is still our property, where you can sit and watch the stream, listen to the babbling water, and sit and forest bathe in the trees if you would prefer.
Other things to note:
Absolutely no smoking, no drugs, and no parties. No additional people allowed on the premises. Only those approved and listed on the booking.
We have filtered well water, which is fabulous! We are on septic, only toilet paper down the toilet.
You will be delighted to see beautiful wildlife walking across the yard and farm. Please do not hurt any animals you may see on the farm.
Our internet is incredibly fast! 1 gig/second. So no worries about work or streaming movies.
Please note: There is no trespassing in the barn, no exceptions. One small area of the barn houses the garbage, you simply put garbage in the bins. Besides that, there is no entry into the barn for any reason. There are two large ponds near the farm, not on our property though. One of the ponds is in view of the farm and can be enjoyed by sitting by the water. No one is allowed in the pond.
The farm is NOT kidproof/childproof. You take full responsibility of yourself and party while staying here. If you decide to book a stay here, we welcome you, but please know, we will not be held responsible or liable for accidents or injuries.
While we have a wood burning stove, it will not be for use by guests. The fire risk is too large. We apologize for this, but safety is paramount.
Wildlife: This home is in a rural part of the country. You may see wildlife including deer, coyotes, foxes, and bears. Please be mindful of your surroundings and leaving out food and trash.
Weather: In the winter, there may be snow, ice, and occasional snowstorms. We recommend driving a vehicle with AWD or 4WD. Please drive with caution and be prepared with regards to the ability of your vehicle to drive in the snow.
Power & Internet: This is a rural part of the country. You could possibly lose power or internet during inclement weather. We do not issue refunds for loss of power or internet out of our control.
Cancellation Policy: Unfortunately we cannot make any exceptions to our cancellation policy. Please consider traveler’s insurance.
