Without question, two of the best features of this updated second tier home are the great views and the super convenient beach access. This beautifully updated, private home is located just across the street from the beach and a few steps to two beach access boardwalks, one in each direction. Tastefully decorated, the home is light, bright and airy and you'll appreciate the decking on both the upper and lower levels. The Morgantown beach is pet friendly and so is Mer Sea so bring your fur friends along to join in the fun!
The Space
Relax and enjoy the 50-inch TV in the light, airy, open living area under the high cathedral ceiling. Prepare and enjoy a wonderful meal with family and friends in the well-equipped kitchen and dining area. And at the end of the day, sink into all new bedding in one of 4 bedrooms.
You’ll find two of those bedrooms on the main floor. The first has a Queen bed and it shares a full bath with the second bedroom, which has a King bed. Both rooms have TVs and ceiling fans.
The other two bedrooms are upstairs. The King primary has private balcony access and a private bath with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The other upstairs bedroom has two Twin over Full bunks and one Twin over Twin bunk and it has its own private standard bath. Both rooms have TVs and ceiling fans. In all, Mer-Sea will comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests.
The convenient outdoor shower has both hot and cold water.

Fort Morgan and Morgantown
Morgantown is a lovely, unique seaside community featuring two swimming pools, a kiddie pool, two lighted tennis/pickleball courts and several beach access boardwalks. When you first arrive, you'll notice pride of ownership in this pastel colored, beautifully landscape neighborhood. Guests really enjoy walking and biking along the quiet streets and many rent golf carts and enjoy sunset drives. If you have small children or just prefer the convenience of parking close to the beach, there is a public lot just to the west of Morgantown.
Located a scenic 15 miles from Gulf Shores, you'll find everything you need close at hand. Dollar General and Sassy Bass Market are just a few miles away and have all the basics you might need. There are several restaurants nearby offering a variety of tasty dishes. Tacky Jack's, Sassy Bass (2 locations), Coast and brand-new Jesse's (opening soon) to name a few. Some venues even offer live, local entertainment.
Fort Morgan fishing pier is now open, and anglers will have access to convenient inshore fishing and the abundant species locally available.
Be sure and visit nearby Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge with over 7,000 acres of coastal habit. You'll be able to hike through the preserve and observe local flora and fauna. There are 4 trails, varying in size and terrain, and you'll definitely want to make time to visit this natural oasis.
