Love the beach? Then come to Ocean Dunes, a 3-bed, 2 bath vacation rental tucked away in a peaceful eucalyptus grove just a few minutes’ walk from the dunes and the Pacific Ocean. It’s hard to get closer to the water than this – after a short ascent up a trail, you’ll come to a stunning overlook, with the dramatic dunes cascading down to a secluded beach and the Pacific Ocean. Cross the dunes to enjoy your choice of beach activities, whether sand castles, surfing, or strolls. Fans of Pixar’s Piper may recognize the birds running to the water’s edge and retreating with the incoming waves.
This home sleeps 6 comfortably and can accomodate up to 8 guests if needed. This coastal cabin perfect for families to spend quality time together in nature or for couples looking for a romantic retreat in a charming location.This property has a main house with 2 bedrooms and an extra and separate cabin with an additional bedroom and bath.
Whether you’re returning from a long day of adventures or you’re simply enjoying your beautiful surroundings (the property is perfect for forest bathing), the Ocean Dunes will be a relaxing refuge, a magical little home away from home. The exposed beams and wood floors and ceilings, paired with lots of windows and natural light, give the house a cheerful rustic feel, and thanks to the Roku TV and fully equipped kitchen, you’ll also enjoy all the comforts of modern technology.
In the dining area, you can start the morning off right with coffee at the two-person breakfast bar. The gorgeous wooden dining table seats four. If you want to whip up something special, the gas four-top stove and the microwave offer you options, while a kitchen island gives you plenty of space to prep your feast.
The living room has ample and comfortable seating, and the TV and board games offer fun entertainment options. Or, if you’re looking for a stellar outdoor evening activity, take advantage of the firepit outside – it’s hard to beat s’mores and stargazing. Get lost in the night sky as you gaze up at the spectacular cosmos and the shining stars above.
The bedrooms offer luxurious mattresses, beautiful views of the forest, and comfortable furnishings. The main bedroom features a king-sized bed, a loft, a hammock chair, and a sectional couch, while the second bedroom has a bunk bed with two full-sized mattresses and a chair perfect for curling up with a good book. The cabin also has an additional bedroom and spacious bathroom has a bathtub with a shower if needed.
This home is the best of both worlds: you have access to all of Fort Bragg’s resources, but you can always return to this quiet cottage, complete with a beautiful garden lush with wisteria. MacKerricher State Park is a short drive away, with seals and sea lions, tide pooling, and the famous boardwalk, as well as an abundance of hiking and biking paths. A bit farther south, you’ll be able to explore downtown Fort Bragg’s cheerful community of shops, art galleries, restaurants, and attractions.
For fresh-caught fish and other delicacies, head to Noyo Harbor and sample some of our finest restaurants – supplied by our local fishing boats. Or take a longer trip to Mendocino, half an hour south of the house. Along the way, Jug Handle State Park, the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse, Russian Gulch, and the Mendocino Headlands all offer scenic stops and great picnic spots.

NOTE: There is a rustic trail in the NW corner of the property rthat will take you to the ten mile beach sand dunes which is a quick walk from the house!

This rental is located immediately east of Fort Bragg and is so close to some of our best beaches, parks, trails, great food, shopping and more.
Ocean Dunes Retreat is all about getting away from it all, the unit has WiFi, television, games and more.
GARBAGE
We love our very beautiful part of the world so please recycle when you can and help protect our wonderful natural environment! The trash cans are in fron of ther house in the parking area - right of the gate facing house!

There is only room for 2 vehicles at the Grove and can park in the driveway right in front of the rental.
