Shoreview Sunset Cottage---Perfect Every Season! | Casa en Minocqua

We have completed the re-building of our 2 story home on the very same footprint of our vintage cottage. That means our new home is sitting just 32 feet from the water's edge, with great views from spacious windows from every room but the bathrooms.
Our policy continues: this summer's guests are allowed the first opportunity to book for the following summer. Nearly everyone returns each year and love the experience of a new lake home on one of northern Wisconsin premier lakes---Lake Shishegogama!

Before we can accept your booking, we need to communicate with our renters to ensure that our property will be a good fit with your needs.
We know that you love your pets, but we are firm about our "No pet" policy. Also, we do not allow smoking in our home.
Nestled among pine and birch trees, we are conveniently situated on the south side of Lake Shishebogama, just off of Route 70. This cottage has access to a boat launch at our neighboring home (Shoreview Lake House, 123403), and we provide watercraft for your adventurous side.
But, you might want to just hang out on the large lakeside deck while the kids are playing in the lake, fishing right off the pier or playing games in the side yard. In the evening, have fun roasting marshmallows and singing camp songs around the fire pit.
Beautiful Lake Shishebogama can be enjoyed from every room through our gorgeous Marvin windows (except the bathrooms, of course). Patio doors lead to the expansive deck from the great room and also the sunroom.
The kitchen part of the great room is well stocked for all of your needs and has a charming dining set for 6 overlooking Lake Shish. There is a movable island in the cubby area which can be moved into the kitchen for meal preparation and presentation. And then, you can return it to the cubby area for more kitchen floor space (or not).
At the other end of the great room is a beautiful corner fireplace, flat screened TV and comfortable furniture which will make even a rainy day seem pretty perfect! Off of the living area is a vaulted ceiling sunroom with another sitting area and a birch tree vista.
Each of the 3 bedrooms has a king sized bed and a lake view from huge Marvin windows. On the first floor, one bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a corner shower and adjoinining laundry room with washer and dryer.
The other 1st floor bedroom is unique with the bedroom at one end and the sunroom at the lake side end. The optional room divider can be opened to provide some privacy---but can be left closed to fully enjoy this beautiful sloping ceiling sunroom with wonderful lake views and birch trees.
The hallway bathroom, directly across from this bedroom, has a bathtub and linen/coat closet.
Now---let's go upstairs! An expansive family room has a sitting area, large screen TV, and a table and 4 chairs. A pool table is part of this wonderful room with amazing lake views! A full size futon provides a sleeping spot for additional guests---perfect for kids!
The 3rd bedroom has a king sized bed and a closet for your clothes. An adjoining bathroom with a shower makes this upstairs retreat pretty perfect!
Because the home is new, our landscaping is still in the beginning stage, but this should not detract from your vacation experience. We own the beautiful lake house to the west which as a private boat launch where cottage guests can launch their boat and then park it at the cottage dock.
Keep in mind that we do not yet have many reviews because our home is so new: but, you can check out our other home (123403), so you know that we are not new to the rental business and provide great service and amenities.
Here is our first review of this newly built lake home. The reservation was made through our old site and therefore it was not an option to put on this new site. But, you can see that our guests are very happy!!:

Amazing lake house
House is newly built. Everything was just as the pictures showed. The house was clean and well stocked with all the necessities we needed. There is another rental house next door but because of where it’s located, we weren’t seeing each other. The lake was quiet and peaceful. Kathy was great with communication and answering my questions. There is a caretaker across the street but we didn’t have any issues during our stay. We highly recommend this property and would love to stay again.

The remodel of the previous cottage was perfect. The cottage was transformed into a wonderful two story house. Plenty of space and every amenity that you could think of. Three bathrooms are very convenient. Beautiful views of the lake. Situated very close to Minocqua and just a quick drive to town. The kayaks and paddle boards provided are nice for going out on lake. Have rented this particular cottage for 8 years and have no thoughts of looking anywhere else. A wonderful family experience that we look forward to every year. Communication is prompt and very clear with the host. Excellent support on site. Never had any problems.
