Set within the grounds of the
stunning Llancayo Country Manor, which is steeped in
architectural and horticultural history dating back to the 1700’s whilst the grounds are of ancient historical importance.

Our beautiful Coach house is open plan and set over two levels with exposed stone walls and the most incredible exposed rafters and oak kingpost truss to the vaulted ceiling, the entire structure has been sympathetically restored to retain the original character and create the most striking feature.
The ground floor has a huge open plan living room/kitchen/diner which is extensively equipped including full cooker, coffee maker, microwave and kettle and toaster plus all kitchen utensils.
The living room has a smart TV with NETFLIX and FREEVIEW.
The large corner sofa extends into a super comfortable double bed.
The kitchen leads us to a spacious study area with desk.
Off the study is a newly fitted utility room with granite work tops, washer/dryer and dishwasher.
The entire g/f has under floor heating for your comfort whilst the first floor has central heating radiators.
In addition to the open plan sitting and dining area, the upper mezzanine level is utilised as a twin bedroom, as the master bedroom is off the mezzanine. the space is perfect for a family area and this level has its own full bathroom.
The mezzanine is accessed via a spiral staircase which has been commissioned and created as a bespoke feature for the coach house.
From the sitting room we also enter an inner lobby via a large traditional latch door.
This takes us to a wet room which has been beautifully re furbished but we have incorporated full accessibility for a wheelchair user or for anyone who may have mobility difficulties including wider doorways.
With this in mind we have chosen to locate a beautiful large twin room on the ground floor, also being fully accessible with an extra wide doorway to enable any guests who prefer accessible options to enjoy the space and surroundings fully.
We have lots of lovely country walks within minutes of the coach house.
Our beautiful detached property has recently been totally refurbished throughout by the amazing in house designers of Laura Ashley.
Adding to this, some of the traditional furnishings from the main house which is the historic Grade II listed Llancayo House.
Our Coach house sits within just under 10 acres of grounds which surround this magnificent house.
The Coach and horses that belonged to Edward Berry were housed in the Coach House in Georgian times.
The surrounding paddock and orchard have ancient woodland indicators and are designated sites of special scientific interest by the Gwent Wildlife Trust.
In fact, the magnificent ‘Cedars of Lebanon’ (Cidrus Lebani) and ‘Wellington Fir Trees’ were planted by Edward John Trelawny (13 November 1792 – 13 August 1881) who was a British biographer, novelist and adventurer who is best known for his friendship with the Romantic poets Percy Bysshe Shelley and Lord Byron.
You will be walking in the steps of some of the most influential people of their time with incredible, historical importance.
The Coach House is a wonderful, relaxing and cosy space, yet large enough to accommodate 8 people very comfortably.
Guest access
Guests have access to every part of the space including the Hot Tub which is for your use only.
This is set in the lovely private rear area which has a 6 ft stone wall for privacy.
