We are delighted to be renting Podere Fronzina for only the third year running over summer 2024. Situated in the glorious rolling hills of the magical Maremma, an authentic, wild region midway between Pisa and Rome, the house sleeps 11, has a stunning infinity pool and heavenly views; the perfect spot for relaxing and exploring this lovely, untouristy part of Southern Tuscany.
Completely restored in 2021, the house has three generous reception rooms, a large, well equipped kitchen with larder and original vaulted ceilings, handmade terracotta floors and underfloor heating. A large terrace leads directly off the kitchen shaded with sun sails for outdoor dining.
In the garden, with its olive grove of sixty trees, is a stunning infinity pool with an outdoor kitchen, large dining area, shower and bathroom. The pool has gorgeous views of the surrounding rolling hills - a wonderfully peaceful place for long lunches under the pergola, sunbathing or sipping a cocktail as the sun sets and the swallows dive over the pool to the sound of the croaking frogs.
You won’t want to leave, but if you do glorious Siena is only an hour’s drive away. Closer to home are the medieval hill top towns of Campagnatico, Montorgiali or Scansano, perfect for aperativo or a delicious lunch in the many excellent value restaurants and trattorias.
And if you fancy the quintessential Italian beach experience, the coast is only 40 minutes drive away to the lovely towns of Talemone, Castiglione della Pescaia or Porto Santa Stefano.
In the cooler months of June and September there is spectacular walking to be done in the Maremma National Park or the nearby hills of Monte Amiata.

Our closest village Baccinello is 5 Kms away. It has a well stocked shop, bakery, cafe and pizzeria. There are many superb supermarkets in our nearest city of Grosseto, only 20 mins drive away.
For the best of the superb local produce, the daily covered market in Grosseto is fantastic. The Maremma is great wine growing territory and there are countless vineyards to visit, specialising in the famous Morellino di Scansano grape.
The five bedrooms have warm parquet flooring, ceiling fans and indoor and outdoor shutters for keeping rooms cool during the day. Three bedrooms are ensuite with king size beds.
The master bedroom has a large bathroom with walk in shower, roll top bath and two sinks. The other two bedrooms, a double and a triple share a large bathroom also with walk in shower, roll top bath and two sinks.

The view are endless and the sunset are gorgeous from the pool and outdoor area. Next to the pool is a very well kitted kitchen and barbecue area, which means that in the summer months you spend a lot of the time outdoors there. I highly recommend the house, especially when travelling with a group of friends or a larger family”
