Villas Sol Beach Resort is perched on the north end of the Hermosa hillside. Guests enjoy the resort as if they were “typical” guests, but retreat to their private villa instead of a hotel room. Enjoy complimentary access to 3 resort pools, restaurants, mini-markets, a fitness center, an on-site spa, a basketball court, and, of course, the beach!
Playa Hermosa (“Beautiful Beach” in Spanish) is consistently rated a Blue Flag beach, getting the highest scores for water quality of the ocean and the drinking water, waste disposal, sanitary facilities, signage, tourist safety, environmental education and involvement of the community in beach maintenance. The beach is known for its stunning sunsets, amazing beachfront dining options, and gentle surf. There is also a beachfront walking path that spans from point to point and is accessible from the resort.
Just 25 minutes from Guanacaste Airport (LIR), near Liberia, the town has 2 grocery stores, many amazing dining options, and a spectacular beachfront featuring a walking path. It’s a great launching point for scuba diving, sport fishing, and sightseeing tours. You’re also close to several area day trip spots – waterfalls, hiking, hot springs, mud baths, cultural experiences, and river tours. You are just a few minutes from the conveniences of Playas del Coco with several grocery stores, many restaurants, bars, and shops.
The entry level of the villa has a large bedroom with 2 queen beds, an ensuite bathroom, and a small terrace with ocean views. This bedroom used to be a "lockout" bedroom so this space is quiet and secluded.
The main part of the villa has 2 additional levels. Head up the stairs to the upper floor with 2 additional bedrooms, another full bathroom, and a large terrace with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. Soak up the sun, or enjoy dinner under the stars. The first bedroom has a queen bed while the second bedroom has 2 single beds. These rooms share a second, full bathroom.
On the lower level of the villa are the living, dining, and kitchen space. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, ceramic cooktop, and electric oven. There is a dining space for 4, plus breakfast bar seating in the kitchen. The living room has a couch and 2 chairs, plus a large Smart TV for streaming your favorite shows and movies. This space has wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding doors that open to a small balcony with absolutely breathtaking views of the ocean and the surrounding hillsides of Playa Hermosa.
Villas Sol Beach Resort offers a complimentary trolley within the resort. There is a small parking area near the villa and guests will find having a rental car very convenient for their stay for quick access to the grocery store, local beaches, and area activities. Due to the location of the villas, guests should not expect to get around the resort on foot.
