The Little Blue Beach House is the perfect family or couples getaway. Completely renovated with style and quality while maintaining traditional cottage charm. Located on a white sand beach, you can walk out hundreds of feet on the shallow sandy bottom of our bay. Perfect for families and couples looking for a relaxing getaway. A canoe, fishing kayaks, water toys, 55” Smart TV, games, books, wifi, yoga mats, life jackets (adult only x3), Bbq, fire pit, fishing rods, amazing sunsets and more!
The Little Blue Beach House is a completely renovated space with modern amenities, a trendy style and of course most importantly, cottage charm. Raise above the white sand beach, your water views are endless and sunsets spectacular. A few steps down from the cottage and you can enjoy our beautiful beach or walk out into the water farther than you can imagine. Fishing, Hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, Canoeing, fires, game nights or simply lounging are all available right here. Minutes away are major grocery stores, excellent local dining and shops and unique experiences you won’t want to miss!
From white water rafting to concerts in a cave, there is so much to do here you won’t want to leave! I have tried to create the ultimate experience for you by providing everything you may need, just bring your food and clothes. We call it the Little Blue Beach House because that is exactly what it is! We have made every effort to provide you with storage for clothing and other items, however if you’re like me and travel with a huge suitcase full of “just in case” stuff (I am a horribly inefficient packer) store them at the end of the loft near the single beds so they are out of your way during your stay, once unpacked of course.

All you need to pack is your food and clothes - and if you don’t want to pack food, we have a local service that will deliver groceries to you!
You have access to the entire cottage and the beach. You will be given your own private access code prior to check in and it will only be deactivated upon your check out. Although we own the beach in front of our cottage you are more than welcome to stroll along the waters edge as far as you like!
We will be available through Airbnb messaging which sends us a direct text. We are just minutes away from assisting you throughout your stay!
This is a great family area on a large white sand beach with a forest behind us and only a few rental cottages. We are located next to a Provincial Park, 15 minutes from major grocery stores, Walmart, Home Depot & More. Take advantage of our location and check out Algonquin Parks natural waterslide, white water rafting, exploring caves, zip lining or rock climbing or visiting the local berry farms. There is no shortage of activities here, and we are also close to some incredible dining for the nights you don't want to cook!
There is parking for 3 cars in our driveway at the front of the cottage, if you wish to park on the sand we recommend 4 wheel drive. You can canoe or kayak across to Quebec or right to the right of the beach house is a very private beach, part of the Westmeath provincial park!
Our lane has cottages both ways, many are owner occupied with very few rentals. We respect our neighbours and they respect that we rent our cottage to vacationers who understand the importance of “being a good neighbour”. We are so excited for you to enjoy the space, this one detail is important to remember in order to help us make your vacation perfect :) Please make an effort to have quiet time starting at 10pm.
Our water intake is directly from the Ottawa River, which was a logging river at one time. There are large amounts of wood at the bottom which make the tap water often appear the colour of tea, and has a high iron content. We do have a filtration system, however it is very difficult to remove the iron. So we have a water cooler on site for you that also has on demand hot water, this will also save you space in the fridge that bottles water takes up!
The Ottawa River has fluctuating water levels controlled by Dams, please note that late June & the first week or two of July the water levels are higher, making the beach smaller … getting into September, the levels are much lower making the beach larger and the waters edge farther out.
