Relax with the whole family, get away with some friends, or change your "work from home" view. #cottageliving. Our cottage is uniquely located on North Pond in a community that had previously been a campground. Have your morning coffee on the screened in porch or on the dock, and listen to the loons, or walk over to the beach. We are conveniently located next to the oldest wood floor roller skating rink in Maine, walk to the ice cream stand, or a 5 minute drive to a local convenience store.
The space
Bedroom number one has a queen bed. Bedroom number two has a full size and a twin bed. The ship ladder stairs leads to a loft that has two twin beds. The bathroom is uniquely located in between the two bedrooms and each had a door leading to the shared bathroom area. Guests will need to enter the bedrooms to get to the bathroom area. So if someone uses the loft area and needs the bathroom, they will need to enter through one of the bedrooms.
Our cottage is uniquely located on the canal within our community that has 20 other cottages. You can cross over the covered bridge and walk straight over to the beach! North pond is famous for its fishing!! Bring your fishing gear as North Pond holds the state record for Pike and has excellent Bass and Perch fishing! Private dock space for you to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening beverage.
As this is an association, there are rules within the community that will be provided to you upon arrival as we do have shared spaces outside.
There is NO smoking in or on the premises of our property or within the community. NO PETS allowed. A $200 fee will automatically be charged for any violations and immediate cancellation with no refund. Renters must be 25 or older.
Our cottage is a labor of love. It was originally built in the 1940’s and completely gutted and renovated by my husband in 2018. Each beam and custom made mending plate as well as the kitchen countertops were installed by him with help from friends and family. The floors in the loft were the original walls and the bedroom furniture belonged to grandma. We are so excited to share our cozy cottage with you. We hope that you find it as peaceful and relaxing as we do!
You will find all the comforts of home here. Fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer, bedding, linens and towels are provided as well as beach chairs. Please know the owners do use the property so there will be items they have stored and put away on the premises. A kayak and two paddle boards are available for your use. Please be advised each of these water devices needs a life jacket on them when in use for all kids and adults of all ages. Life jackets can be provided, however if you have your own to fit your needs please bring it! Our cottage water comes from a well and you can drink it, but feel free to bring your own water and of course your own food and drinks.

The oldest wooden floor roller skating rink is located next-door to our community. Bring your cash and skate on Wednesday and Friday nights! There is a local ice cream place within walking distance as well and TRI POND variety 3.1 miles down the road in case you forgot something from home!

Raft with our friends at Three Rivers white water rafting an hour away.

Guest access
There are two designated parking spaces. One to the left of the cottage and another on a grassy area on the premises. A map will be provided. upon arrival as this is a community and there are shared spaces. You will have access to our dock from our property and beach access that is shared with our community members. Please note the big house on the beach is private and the area in front of their home is as well. It is roped off and please respect their property. There is common space out on the point with a clubhouse you may enjoy and watch some of the most stunning sunsets you will ever see!! Please access this via the pathway behind the big house and do not go on the docks at the end of the point as those belong to private residents.
Other things to note
This is an association and while there are lots of spaces, many are private. Please be respectful and enjoy our property and shared spaces.
Quiet hours begin at 10pm per our association and no wood burning fires are permitted for renters. I know we are sorry!
Parking in permitted spots only. NO events or parties, NO SMOKING, NO PETS. NO EXCEPTIONS. This will be an automatic $200 fine and immediate cancellation and no refunds.
