Resumen: The house was recently remodeled and is in a nice quiet area of Lake Como (Belmar). We rented the house for European relatives who wanted to spend a few days at the Jersey shore. Upon entering the house you could tell that it was brand new. It was clean, although there were some ants (likely inevitable in a rental at the beach). They were only on the first floor in the living room. The house sleeps 20, but we only had 6. The extra bedrooms with the bunk beds did not have full mattresses yet, so if we were a big party that may have been an issue. Upon arriving we found the house to be hot. It was a very hot day and the A/C on the first floor was not working. They had someone come out to look at it, but it was not repaired by the time we left. Also, the A/C was locked and we could not control the temp on either zone. This annoyed us as we felt we should be able to control the temp. I have never seen that before in a rental. We only ate breakfast in the house as we went out each day. There is no kitchen table, only the island and it only has 4 stools. If you have 20 people (ore more than 4) here, there is no place for them to sit. The stools are also too high for the counter and it was not ideal to sit and lean over to eat. Location to the beach was good, only a 3 block walk and enough parking for 2 cars in the driveway. We did not use the basement pool table or card table. Showers were clean and water pressure was good. Bedrooms are good size with closets.
